Stolen Property Deeds

I came across this article by Daily News in which they went about stealing the Empire State Building. Literally. In less then 90 minutes they had the deed (proving ownership) transferred over to the name of a bogus company.

RIAA Radar and Peer-to-Peer Programs

After finding this awesome little website known as RIAA Radar, I began to look up some of my favorite bands, as well as do a little research into the wonderful world of record deals and piracy on the web. Basically what the RIAA is is an organization dedicated to making sure their corporate cash flow isn't plugged up by those among us who decide to download music over P2P networks such as "Shareware" and "Limewire." When record sales drop at the rate they have in the past decade, these big executives and CEO's take it upon themselves to lower the amount they pay to the artists. These guys are even responsible for suing adolescences and the elderly over downloading a song without the rights.

RIAA Radar is basically a database of which artists were on which label during the release of a particular CD. This is especially useful in the fight against RIAA members. If your favorite bands CD is RIAA free, purchase it! Help support the artists behind the music. After all, they're people too! Below are some links you guys might find useful.

This guy has a lot more insight into this kinda stuff. If you really are interested in fighting back against the RIAA, check out his blog.

Yes We Did

After the defeat of John McCain, President Elect Barack Obama has moved on to choosing his administration. Rahm Emanuel, now white house chief of staff, was first on the Obama's agenda. We have now seen the release of http://www.change.gov, Obama's official site for one on one with the country. This, as said in a press release, is to "help make the political process more transparent."

The Day Before, The Morning After

Just one day before the presidential election, the polls are split. While Obama still leads, the undecided vote just might be McCain's second chance. Although it's unlikely McCain will receive enough to win, let alone the "lion's share," it's still a possibility.

McCain's 3 Month Comeback, Hannity's an artard

McCain claims he's making a comeback. This would be a perfectly fine statement if he hadn't been saying it for the last two and half monthes, only to watch the polls split further and further away from him and his GOP agenda. Refer to a few posts below if you don't know what I'm talking about (Obama targeting McCain's home state).

I'd also like to take the time to mention that this blog has been extremely focused on the presidential race; thus giving me nothing to talk about when it's over. For this reason, let me give you a little more of my opinion. Sean Hannity is seriously one of the biggest douchebags I have ever had the displeasure of listening to on both Fox News and talk radio. No, I am not one of those democrats who outright refuse to watch Fox News or listen to conservative media. I like to give both sides of the story a chance, but Mr. Hannity just seems to be completely stuck in a vicious cycle of arrogance and inviting guests on to his show only to not let them speak. When he does, by chance, let them speak, and they make a valid argument, he has a terrible habit of switching the subject.

Give me a BREAK.

Obama Sweep Success

Days after Barack Obama's successful 30 minute primetime advertisement, the results are showing. After a minor drop in the poll lead, Obama is back on top with a 6 pt. lead.

In it to win it

McCain's negative media coverage

McCain: Obama will say anything to win

I have a huge problem with McCain saying this, especially since it's coming from a presidential candidate whose last month and a half of campaigning has consisted of unfounded slander and negative advertising. This is probably the most ridiculous thing I have heard out of McCain's mouth so far, due to the fact that McCain will say anything to win, not Obama.
